「有」幾種說法

中文的「有」在英文裡是一個變形金剛，它有各式不同的表現型式。一般我們想到「有」，不外是has/have或there is/are，很多時候不是不對，而是很怪。
have / has vs. there is / are
主要原因是因為在中文都是翻成「有」，但在英文的概念是不同的。英文中的have/has是「擁有」的概念，而 there is / are 是「狀態」的概念。也就是說，當某人或某種動物擁有什麼特質或物品時，就要用have/has，當敘述物品存在的狀態時，要用there is/are。
有很多人在超市
X The supermarket has a lot of people.
O There are a lot of people in the supermarket.
請你把這幾句中文說成英文：

今晚電視有一個很有趣的節目。

有三個人站在那兒。

游泳池假日有開嗎?

1. There is an interesting program on television tonight.
「有」一個有趣的節目，是一種存在的有，是各位熟悉的。
2. Three people are standing there.
不要說"There are three people standing there."，可以直接用three people當主詞。
3. Is the swimming pool available on the weekend?
「有開嗎？」其實是在問可不可以使用，英文要用available這個字。
4. This model comes in 3 colors.
「有」三種顏色，這樣的有，並不是擁有，而是生產時就做了三個顏色。
5. Does it come with a warranty?
產品的保固是跟著產品一併提供的，因此用come with。
6. It comes standard with 32MB of memory that is expandable up to 512MB. 「有」保固期嗎？或有某種配備，這個「有」是指附加在上面的有，用come with。
7. Does it make sense?
有沒有道理跟there is/are或have/has沒關係。
中文的「有」會以各種不同型式出現，除了own或possess之外，consist of / cover / include......也都是「有」的變形。 ■
