一次搞懂的子句練習

看完以上關於子句的分析之後，請試著在下列兩個句子中找出「獨立子句」及「從屬子句」。

1. Charles fell in love with Jane immediately after they met at the ball, but his younger sister tried to dissuade him from marrying her.

Charles在舞會上認識Jane之後，便很快地就愛上了她，但他的妹妹試圖勸阻他不要跟她結婚。

2. Mrs. Bennet and her daughters had a great time at the ball, but when they returned home, Mr. Bennet showed no interest in knowing what had happened.

Bennet太太和她的女兒們在舞會上玩得很開心，但當她們回到家之後，Bennet先生對舞會上發生的事一點興趣也沒有。

解答

獨立子句以藍字標示，從屬子句以紅字標示，黃底則為從屬連接詞。
