1. 我要如何聯絡你？

這句話錯誤率相當高，有時是受到中文影響，我們習慣說「跟」某人聯絡，轉成英文就多加了with，必須注意contact是及物動詞，意思是「跟…聯絡」，如果再加with就會變成贅字。另一個可能是錯把名詞與動詞搞混，contact當名詞時單指「聯絡」，後面會加with：

I always keep in contact with my customers.

我一直都有和我的客戶保持聯絡。

2. 我能多要一些資訊嗎？

Can I request for some more information? (X)     

Can I request some more information? (O)

Request是及物動詞，意思是“politely ask for…”，“request something”就等於 “politely ask for something”，因此不能再多加一個介系詞。如果聽到Request後面有for，則是名詞的用法，例如：

We just received many requests for the magazine.

我們剛收到很多人要訂閱這本雜誌。 

3. 我贊同這份提案。

I agree the proposal. (X)

I agree to the proposal. (O)

Agree同時是及物也是不及物動詞，意思都是「同意、贊同」，比較常見的狀況是不及物，必須搭配介系詞，如果是贊同「提案、計畫」會用 “agree to”；贊同「某人」的意見會說 “agree with someone”；另外，“agree on”則是代表在某件事上有「共識」。Agree如果當及物動詞時，後面要接名詞子句，像是：

We agree that we should start early. (O)

我們都同意應該早點出發。

4. 我會陪你到公車站。

I’ll accompany with you to the bus station. (X)

I’ll accompany you to the bus station. (O)

Accompany是及物動詞，不能加介系詞，原因是在英文中，accompany的定義是“to go somewhere with…”，這個字本身就有with的概念在當中，如果再加上一個with就會變成贅字，像是在說“ I’ll go to the bus station with with you”。不然就直接說：

I’ll go with you to the bus station. (O)

5. 我會嫁給我最好的朋友。

I’ll marry to my best friend. (X)

I’ll marry my best friend. (O) 

中文會說嫁「給」某人，轉成英文容易直接說“marry ‘to’ someone”，這是不對的，marry當「嫁」的時候是及物動詞，要直接加上結婚對象，不可以加介系詞。除非是“get married”或“is married”等用法時才能加to：

I got/was married to my best friend. (O)
