記錯、看錯、聽錯、寫錯...英文不是都用「wrong」

（Ｘ）I misremember the time. 我忘了時間。

"Misremember"雖然是記錯，但是一個晦澀的字，有些字典還查不到，像Cambridge Dictionary就查無此字。如果真的是mis＋remember（錯＋記），可直接用forget。但記錯時間，直接說I forgot the time 感覺又太隨便，沒講清楚。

所謂的「記錯」，也許是「搞混」，和其他的行程混淆了。英文有幾種說法：

I got the times mixed up. 我時間搞混了。

這裡的times用複數，因為是把兩個時間弄混了。Mix up是好用的成語，把兩個東西混在一起，分不清了。假如你經常把兩人的名字叫混了，就可以說：

I always get their names mixed up. 我總是把他們的姓名混淆。

I lost track of time. 我忘記時間了。

Lost track of 字面上的意思是「失去線索」。Lost track of time其實就是我們口語說的「沒有注意到時間」，這種經驗就像：一上網，一不小心就錯過吃飯時間，來看一個例句：

I got up early this morning, browsing the Internet and then I completely lost track of time. 我今天一早起來上網，於是就完全忘記了時間。

I got the time wrong. 我弄錯時間了。

Get something wrong也是個好用的片語，意思是弄錯某件事。例如：

The police got the name wrong and arrested an innocent man. 警察弄錯名字，逮錯人了。

既然弄清楚了「記錯」，我們順帶也就來看一下「看錯」、「聽錯」、「寫錯」、「說錯」怎麼表達：

看錯

我看錯人了。
（Ｘ）I saw the wrong person.

「看錯了」是誤把對象當成另一個人：
（O）I thought you were someone else. 我以為你是另一個人。
（O）I mistook you for someone else. 我誤認你是另一個人了。

還有一種看錯是看錯文字，可以用misread：
I misread the traffic sign. 我看錯那個路標了。

聽錯

我聽錯了。
（Ｘ）I listened wrong.
（O）I heard wrong.
（O）I misheard.

Listen和hear都是聽，但hear是「聽到」，而listen是專心「專心聽、聽從」，聽錯用hear wrong是很口語的說法，正式一點用mishear。

寫錯

我寫錯了。
可能是「寫錯字」：
（O）I wrote the wrong word. 我寫錯字了。

也可能是「拼錯」：
（O）I misspelled the word. 我拼錯字了。

說錯

我說錯了。
（Ｏ）I said something wrong. 

單純「說錯了」就直接說say something wrong，等於承認自己錯了。但還有一種說錯，是純粹的「口誤」，像是把一個東西講成另一個東西，用misspeak。

The President denied lying, but said that he misspoke. 總統否認自己說謊，他說自己只是說錯了。

The actor misspoke his lines. 那個演員講錯台詞。
