The toy is under the sofa.
Under 和 below在有些情況是可以互換的，都有「低於」、「在下面」的意思。但是under比較常用在形容位置，而below是程度，像形容溫度、水的高度等等的都用below。例：「The temperature is three degrees below zero.」。
She resembles her father.
Resemble這個動詞後面不用加任何介係詞，不用to，更不用with。這句話 也可以改成「She takes after her father.」Take after 是一個動詞片語，跟resemble是同義詞。
He is married to my best friend.
「跟某人結婚」，用中文的意思看起來好像是要用with，married在這裡是形容詞，後面要用to。也可以直接把marry當動詞，後面直接接人，不用介係詞。例如：「He married my best friend.」。另外，嫁跟娶在英文裡面都是用marry。
Are you angry with me now?「對某人生氣」，介係詞要用with。
Be angry at是對一件事情生氣，大家常常搞混是因為生氣也可以說：be mad at someone。
She congratulated me on my engagement.
Congratulate是「恭喜」，要恭喜某
人某一件事情，介係詞要用on。
