Allusion 隱喻（以歷史典故或神話）

Allusion是英文中較為特別的修辭，和暗喻(metaphor)一樣是一種間接的譬喻，不過強調一定使用歷史、文學典故或神話等作為指涉的對象。

Gideon（基甸）是希伯來聖經中的先知及戰士，他因為堅信上帝而看見了耶和華給的預示及幻象，使他能帶領僅三百名的戰士擊敗敵人並解放以色列人。

Visions of Gideon作為電影《以你的名字呼喚我》的主題曲，以基甸的幻象比喻男主角Elio對一段盛夏戀情的記憶，歌曲中不斷喃喃重複“Is it a video?”及“Visions of Gideon”，表現Elio的迷惘與悲傷。
