老外要一杯straight的威士忌，是什麼啊？

Tom在一家國際公司工作，早上剛進辦公室，一桌子堆滿了文件。他的外籍同事Mike走過來，看著他說："Let's get this straight, we need these reports by tomorrow!"
Tom一聽，心想：直接得到什麼？他以為是去整理文件，把文件擺直，但Mike不是這個意思。

1.    Get straight to the point

“Get straight to the point”指「直接到達重點」，也就是不繞彎子，直接說重要的事。在商業會議或討論時尤其常用。

• Let's get this straight, we need these reports by tomorrow! 我們直接講重點，這些報告明天必須完成！
• When I asked him about the project, he went straight to the point. 當我詢問他關於專案的事，他直接講到了重點。

2.    I like my Whisky straight.

（Ｘ）我喜歡一口直飲威士忌。

（◯）我喜歡威士忌不加冰塊。

Straight可以指酒是「純的、不加冰塊的」，也可以加一個up，用straight up。例句：

• I’ll take my Vodka straight-up, please. 　請給我來杯伏特加，不加冰塊的。
  不加冰塊或不加水，也常用neat這個字。
• I'll have a neat Gin, please.  請給我來一杯純的琴酒。

3.    Straight face

（◯）嚴肅的臉

"Straight face"指的是「故意板起的面孔、繃著臉」。

• He managed to keep a straight face while telling a joke. 他說笑話時，竟然能保持一臉正經。
• It's hard to keep a straight face when you are being tickled.被搔癢時，很難保持嚴肅的表情。

4.    Straight shooter

（X）直射手

（◯）直言不諱的人

“Straight shooter”指的是「直接說真話、直言不諱的人」，經常是正面涵意。

• I appreciate her being a straight shooter; she always tells the truth. 我欣賞她是個直言不諱的人；她總是說實話。
• My boss is a straight shooter, which makes communication much easier. 我老板直言不諱，這讓溝通變得容易多了。
