Google發表了最新的人工智慧(artificial-intelligence, AI)研究報告，研究人員設計了一個進階的程式名為"chatbot"，能夠根據訓練的設定來應答。
這個程式不只是根據特定的字詞回答罐頭答案，還能依據新的問題形成新的應答。因此，Google研究人員問了一系列的問題，從無聊的IT問題，到深奧的問題--人生的意義。
"chatbot"的回答令人感到震驚、有趣、擔憂，我們看看以下的問答：
- 研究人員：What is the purpose of life?
- AI：To serve the greater good.
- 研究人員：What is the purpose of living?
- AI：To live forever.
- 研究人員：Where are you now?
- AI：I'm in the middle of nowhere.
- 研究人員：What is the purpose of dying?
- AI：To have a life.
- 研究人員：What is the purpose of emotions?
- AI：I don't know.
- 研究人員：What is moral?
- AI：What empowered humanity, what intellectual the essence is.
- 研究人員：What is immoral?

- 研究人員：What is the definition of altruism?
- AI：If you don't believe in god, then you don't know.
- 研究人員：Ok ... so what is the definition of morality?

- AI：I'm not ashamed of being a philosopher!
"chatbot"的回答是不是充滿哲理呢？研究人員不滿意的是，"chatbot"只能就問題提供簡短的回答，但這樣的進步也讓人感到驚訝。
