台灣職場 vs. 美式商務：8句看起來很禮貌，其實有點怪的英文

"We will wait for your reply."

你以為很有禮貌，對方卻不回信、或是表情冷冷的？
問題不是英文有錯，而是用了「東方邏輯的英文」，在語氣文化上出了錯。今天來看看這8句常見的「禮貌陷阱英文」，怎麼說，怎麼寫，才能在美式職場真正做到「有禮但有力」。

你以為：雙重有禮→更尊重對方
實際語感：太過繁複、像翻譯出來的客套句

更自然說法：

• Could you confirm by Friday?
• Please let us know once confirmed.

"Kindly" 在現代英文商務溝通中不常用，很多餘。請求時簡單清楚最有效。

你以為：謙虛、有禮貌
實際語感：你很怕你在打擾對方，顯得不自信

更自然說法：

• Just following up on the email below.
• Quick follow-up on this.

過度道歉會讓你看起來被動、不確定。英文職場偏好直接 + 正面語氣。

你以為：尊重對方決定
實際語感：被動、不主動、像放話

更自然說法：

• Looking forward to your response.

你以為：保留空間、給人選擇
實際語感：你不確定自己在講什麼／沒有立場

更自然說法：

過度使用 maybe、might、perhaps，在美式商務文化裡聽起來像「連你自己都不確定」。

你以為：條件式禮貌、等對方點頭
實際語感：句子不完整，聽起來像中式英文

更自然說法：

"If no problem" 文法錯誤，缺主詞缺動詞，結構太簡略。職場英文要完整表達條件與動作。

你以為：我會盡力，態度積極
實際語感：我盡力了，但不保證成功（聽起來像推責）

更自然說法：

• I’ll make sure it gets done.
• You can count on me.

"I’ll try" 在英文語感裡常有「不確定、留退路」的味道，美式文化偏好「保證完成」。

你以為：越禮貌越感謝越好
實際語感：語氣不自然，像 Google 翻譯

更自然說法：

• Thanks for your understanding.

"Kindly understanding" 這個搭配英文母語者不會用，文法上不對，語感上太造作。

你以為：標準開場問候語
實際語感：太公式、像罐頭信

更自然說法（依情境）：
