With a statistical approach in mind, the Harvard Business Review selected 100 chief executive officers from companies all over the world to answer two questions: who are the best business leaders, and what do these people have in common? The final

rankings provide some interesting statistics such as: roughly a quarter of the best CEOs are MBA graduates, and the same goes for CEOs with engineering degrees on the list. Only two on the list are women, and the best performing CEOs are apparently not always the best-paid ones. For example, the best-compensated CEO who made the list, Disney's Bob Iger at #60, is only the 14th best-paid CEO across the board, and the #1 CEO, Jeff Bezos of Amazon, without taking into considering his 18% share-holding in the company, comes second-to-last in personal earnings.

採用統計數據佐證，哈佛商業評論選出全球100位績效最佳的企業執行長CEO，並試圖找出這些成功企業領袖有何共同之處。評選結果提供了幾個有趣的數據，像是排行榜上約有1/4的CEO，具有MBA學位，另外工程背景的執行長也占有類似比例。入榜的CEO只有兩位女性，而績效最佳的CEO似乎並不是薪酬最高的企業主管，甚至與排行不成比例，像是榜上薪酬最高的主管是排名第60的迪士尼CEO鮑伯艾格，但他卻僅是受評CEO當中第14高薪的主管。

而高居榜首的亞馬遜執行長傑夫貝佐斯，竟然薪酬倒數第二，當然這並沒有把他對亞馬遜的18%持股計算在內。█
