Brush不是刷子嗎？老闆拿了個刷子給他做什麼呢？在英語中，"brush" 這個字除了其常見的意思，如「刷子」或「刷洗」之外，還有幾種道地用法，在商業溝通中也很實用，一起來看看。
1. The boss brushed off all my suggestions.
（Ｘ）老闆刷了我的建議。
（Ｏ）老闆沒聽我的建議。
"Brush off" 原來的意思是「刷掉」。例如：
He brushed the snow off his coat. 他撣去大衣上的雪。
刷掉進一步延伸為「不理、漠視別人的想法」，經常指在討論時，輕視別人的貢獻，有敷衍的意味。例句：
