not gonna lie 老實說
Do I look tired today?
Yes, you do look a little bit tired today.
Not gonna lie/I'm not going to lie, you do look a little tired.
No gonna lie/I'm not going to lie, my new office is so spacious.(不騙你,我新的辦公室真的很寬敞。)
I'll just be brutally honest, he betrayed all of us.(我很殘忍地老實說,他背叛了我們所有人。)
To be fair
I just love living here in Beijing. The Forbidden City, the cultures and the restaurants…all that jazz. Though it's quite pricey to live in, to be fair.(我喜歡住在北京,紫禁城啊、文化啊、餐廳啊,等等的。
Don't get me wrong.
Don't get me wrong—I'm not blaming anyone but explaining the whole situation.(別誤會,我不是在責怪誰,我只是在解釋整個情況。)
Don't get me wrong—she's a really nice person but she has no negotiating skills.(別搞錯,她真的是一個很不錯的人,只是她沒有協商的能力。)
這裡的"get"意思是"understand","don't get me wrong"給人一種,「我理解你的觀點,只是我有其他看法」。
