正式感英文：可以清楚，就不要模糊

正式英文講求精準，盡量避免變化多元的動詞片語，這些「正式的」動詞多半源自於拉丁字源，例如字首re-，request=ask for、 return=go back、regain=get back、review=look back，其他還有 ex-、con-，商務文件的重點要言簡意賅，所以能夠一個字，就不要兩個字。
下面兩句可以怎麼說:
行程搞混了。
The schedule was mixed up. 改說: The schedule was confused.
我來信是想詢問貴公司是否有任何工作職缺。
I’m writing to find out whether you have any vacancies in your company. 改說:
I’m writing to enquire whether you have any vacancies in your company.

請求 ask for – request
達到 come up to – reach
處理 deal with – manage
導致 lead to -  cause
尋找 look for – seek
調查 look into -investigate
朝向 move toward – approach
忍受 put up with -tolerate
提及 refer to – consult
確保 make sure of – ensure
屈服 give in – yield
繼續進行 go ahead – proceed
考慮 think about – consider
逃離 get away – escape
丟棄 throw away – discard
