科學家:綠茶素或可預防心臟病

Green Tea May Help Reduce Risk of Heart Attacks

00:07

On May 31, 2018, The Guardian came out with an article called: “Green Tea May Help Reduce Risk of Heart Attacks”. It looks like a cup of green tea a day may keep the cardiovascular doctor away.

00:23

Scientists have found a molecule called EGCG in green tea that can make plaques in arteries more soluble under certain circumstances. In other words, this molecule has the potential to remove certain blockages in arteries that result in heart attacks.

00:42

While this is good news, experts say that more research must be done to confirm the effects of green tea in terms of reducing heart attacks.

00:53

They are hopeful that the discovery of EGCG in green tea could open up new possibilities for developing new methods of combating heart disease.

01:03

Perhaps, if scientists are successful in their research, in the future, drinking green tea may become a habit for decreasing the risk of heart attacks.
