Simile 明喻

英文和中文一樣有修辭(figure of speech)的用法，通常出現在文學作品或詩當中，使文意更優美、更具象化。雖然我們平時很少直接學到英文修辭，但千萬別以為這些修辭都晦澀難懂，其實它們時常藏在我們聽的英文歌曲裡。本期一張圖搞懂就帶你用英文歌找到常見的英文修辭。

Simile 明喻

用“like”或“as”（中文的「像」或「如」）等字，將兩個原本沒有關係的人事物直接且明顯地比較。

In perfect purple

So how come things move on?

How come cars don't slow?

(1)  用連接詞like，形容「你」像奔跑的獅子、優雅的女神及盤旋的老鷹

(2)  用動詞片語feel like，將失去的感受比喻成「世界末日」

(3)  用連接詞as，形容生命像飛落的雪花一樣短暫
