【eat crow】 照字面直譯是「吃烏鴉」，其實真正意思是: 當一個人強烈批評了別人，或非常堅持某種意見，而之後證明是錯的，需要道歉認錯時，就是 eat crow.
例句: David accused Mary of stealing his bicycle, but then he realized that he was wrong, and he has to eat crow.
大衛指控瑪莉偷他的腳踏車，但之後發現搞錯了，他道歉認錯。
【throw someone under the bus】 字面翻譯是「把（某人）丟到公車下面」，其實就像是「推人入火坑，只顧自己，不顧他人死活」的意思。
例句: I can’t believe David threw me under the bus like that.
