To Start a Video Call

Hi/Hello!

Hello, [their name.]

Hi, [their name.]

Good morning/afternoon/evening, [their name.]

Good afternoon, Mr. Smith.

(X) Good night.

“Good night.”

Quickly Check

Can you hear me/my voice?

Can you see me?

Is the audio/video working?

Was I on mute?

Greetings

How are you today?

How has your day been so far?

How’s everything going?

Hey, what time is it there?

Good!/Great!/ Pretty good. 很好

Can’t complain!

Never better.

Everything is fantastic.

The Purpose of the Call開場

I’d like to talk about xyz.

Let’s go over the agenda.

Let’s go over xyz.

I’d like to review xy and z.

I’d like to cover xyz in this meeting.

Ask for Clarification

John, you’re speaking too fast. Could you speak slower please?

Could you repeat that please?

Just to clarify, you’re saying…

I didn’t catch the details of the part about [the timeline problem.]

Could you go over that again, but a little more slowly, please?

Sorry guys, I’m just going to mute myself, and take some notes.

I have something important to share that might help the conversation.

Can I share my screen?

ASK FOR CLARIFICATION, EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU UNDERSTAND.

To End a Video Conference Call

“Alright, talk to you guys soon.”,只是在正式場合會覺得too abrupt and rude.

Thank you for meeting with me today.

Thank you.

Thank you for talking with me today.

Thank you for meeting with me today.

Thank you for taking the time to talk with me today.

It was great talking to you about xyz.

I really enjoyed being able to cover xyz with you today.

I appreciate you taking the time to go over xyz with me today.

It’s been a pleasure discussing xyz with you.

I’ll follow up with you in a few days.

I’ll touch base with you in a few days.

I’ll get back to you in a few days.

I’ll email you the document after our meeting.

Bye. / Goodbye.
