Step by step 年終考評溝通術

無論你是職場菜鳥還是老鳥,面對績效考核時總覺得緊張、害怕詞不達意?從會議室走出來,不確定主管/下屬聽進去多少?面對這類的考評,重點在於如何從容地展現自己的優勢,用字及敘述方式都是關鍵。

Step 1  Demonstrate your strength

寫出自己的強項及優點,這邊要注意到的是,要表現「自信」而非「自大」,盡量表達具體。 

(X) I always keep up with industry trends.  不夠明確

我時時關注產業潮流。

(O) 

I pick up the new marketing trends by reading tech and financial news.

我會看科技及財經新聞,隨時關注最新行銷潮流。

In order to stay updated on the latest trends, I like to meet friends from different sectors and exchange opinions.

為了時時掌握趨勢,我常會跟不同產業的朋友見面、交換意見。

(X) I am a well-organized person.  舉出實例才具體

我很善於規劃。

(O) I am a well-organized person who always makes good use of my time and keep everything on track. Here’s my schedule for the next project and… 

我很善於規劃,在時間利用上能妥善管理並確認每件事都在進度上。這邊是下個專案的時程表……

Step 2  Express what you learn from your failure

若有工作上的缺失被質問,可以給出原因及解決方式,切勿找藉口或是將錯推到別人身上。

Scenario 1

Supervisor: I noticed that your work schedule is falling behind now.

主管:我注意到你的工作進度有些延遲

Employee: This I know, but I am working to catch up now. I set daily progress goals and keep a record of the time that I spend on different tasks throughout the week.

員工:是,我正在趕上進度,目前我訂了每日進度目標,這樣可以幫助我每週記錄下我在各項工作上花的時間。

Scenario 2

Supervisor: Honestly, the amount of sales in Q2 is lower than we expected.

主管:第二季的銷售量有點不如預期。

Employee: I’ve noticed that. To improve sales in Q3, we’ve managed to boost audiences by inviting several influencers to be our guest editors as well as recommend movies. 

員工:是,我們了解。為了在第三季改善這個問題,我們邀請了幾位網紅以客座編輯身份推薦電影,希望藉此帶動觀眾進場。

Step 3  Emphasize your chief accomplishments

多用可量化的數據表達自己的工作成果

Example 1

As a front desk clerk in our hotel, I’ve never received any negative messages on my performance and every customer who’s talked to me has given me a full 5-star review.

身為飯店的前台人員,我從未收到負面評價,且我服務過的顧客都給了我五星回饋。

Example 2

After observing the data of our users, I made some changes to our marketing strategy. These efforts resulted in a 25% growth in sales.

觀察了我們用戶的數據後,我將行銷策略稍作調整。在調整過後,銷售數字成長了25%。 

小標:Step 4  Bring up the company core values

可總結自己的優勢與公司核心價值有連結之處,或是設立一個短期目標

Example

“Keep learning” is always one thing that we want to share with our students. I also want to broaden my skill set so that I can do my job more efficiently. To achieve this goal, I am currently enrolled in a three-month introductory programming course. 

我們時常與學生分享「不斷學習」這樣的概念,同時,我也想增進自己的技能,讓自己更有效率地處理工作。為了達到這個目標,我報名了一個為期三個月程式入門的課程。

Nail it! 綜合演練

以下我們整理了一些題目,無論是口頭考評會或書面考評報告都可能會遇到,建議每題回答控制在四到五句,擬好草稿後可念出來試試看,practice makes perfect!

Achievement:

• What were the highlights of your past month/quarter?

過去一個月/一季你有什麼傑出成績?

• What excites you the most about your day-to-day responsibilities?

每天的工作中,有哪部分是你最有興趣或最喜歡的嗎? 

• What would make the next 60-90 days successful for you at work?

Obstacles:

• What did not go well in the past 6 months?

過去六個月以來工作上有什麼困難嗎?

• What can you do to positively impact your performance and be promoted to your ideal role?

為了晉升到理想職位,你會如何積極改進你的工作表現?

• What’s standing in your way?

Opportunities:

• What could we do to make this your dream job?

你覺得公司能給你什麼協助,讓這份工作成為你的夢想職業?

• What kind of support do you need to achieve your goals?

公司能如何協助你達成你的目標?

• Are the responsibilities of your role what you expected? Why/why not?

Goal:

• What are your goals for the upcoming month/quarter?

你下個月/下一季的目標是什麼?

• Do you understand how your personal goals align with team goals?

你的個人目標與團隊目標一致嗎?
