Who：用來代替人
關係代名詞同時兼具了「代名詞」及「連接詞」的功能，一方面代替先前提到的名詞，一方面又連接了後面用來修飾主詞的子句。一般常見的關係代名詞包括who、which、whose、that等等，本期一張圖搞懂帶你一次熟悉這幾個關係代名詞的特性與用法。
用來代替人：Who
當兩個句子提到了同一個人，就可以使用關係代名詞who，將兩個句子濃縮成一句話。
The singer is from England. 這位歌手來自英國。
The singer has won multiple Grammy Awards. 這位歌手已經得過好幾座葛萊美獎。
→The singer who is from England has won multiple Grammy Awards.
這位來自英國的歌手已經得過好幾座葛萊美獎。
此句中的關係代名詞who，一方面代替了前面出現的名詞singer，一方面又連接了“is from England”的子句來修飾前面的名詞。
＊當關係代名詞who在子句中是受詞時，也可以使用whom，但這種用法比較正式，較少出現在口語表達中。
Snape is a professor. Snape是一位教授。
I respect Snape a lot. 我非常敬重Snape。
→Snape is a professor whom I respect a lot.
Snape是一位我非常敬重的教授。
