Small Talk：寒暄是不可或缺的過渡
很多人以為會聊天能力是天生，但其實這是極大的誤解，它是可以「後天學習」來的，老外開啟話題的方式大同小異，問你好不好、問天氣、問交通、問興趣，不習慣和不熟的人閒聊的我們，可能覺得很枯燥，但這也是老外打開社交的第一步，也是在商務場合中，無可避免的過渡。
Small Talk可能發生在哪?

好奇心，是所有關係的起點
1. weather 天氣
Lovely day, don’t you think? 天氣真棒，你不覺得嗎?

丟出「關鍵訊號」，巧妙結束閒聊
想要離開一個話題又不想讓氣氛尷尬，只需要給出一些「訊號」，像是去拿飲料、去招呼其他人，或是稱讚對方很好聊，下次再繼續聊，便能巧妙結束話題。
I need to get something to drink. 我要去拿飲料喝。
I’ve got to get going. It was nice talking to you. 我得走了，跟你聊天很開心。
I have to go, but I really like your advice about.... I'll keep you in the loop about how it goes... 我得走了，不過我很喜歡關於⋯你給的建議，我會再讓你知道後續發展。
