Whose：用來代替「擁有的」
用來代替「擁有的」：Whose
當一個句子提到了某個人事物，而其中一個句子提到了該人事物「所擁有」的東西，就可以使用關係代名詞whose，將兩個句子濃縮成一句話。
The manager will be promoted next month. 這位經理下個月將會得到升遷。
The manager’s work performance has been quite good. 這位經理的工作表現一直相當好。
→The manager whose work performance has been quite good will be promoted next month.
這位工作表現一直相當好的經理，下個月將會得到升遷。
此句中的關係代名詞whose除了代替前面提到的名詞manager，也連接了該名詞所擁有的“work performance”引導出的子句，進而修飾前面的名詞。
