trip還是journey，該怎麼表達自己的旅行？

「旅行」是每個人都一定有的生活經驗，英文中的trip、journey、voyage都帶有旅行的意思，我們可以根據單字的使用情境來區分用法。

trip (n.) 旅行、航行 (v.) 絆倒

有明確的出發動機以及回程的時間，例如出差(business trip)、單車旅行(cycling trip)、公路旅行(road trip)。溫馨小提示，trip作動詞時有絆倒、阻擋之意。

We went on cycling trip around Taiwan by bike last year.
我們去年騎單車環遊台灣。

雖然一樣形容旅行，但journey並不特別強調旅行的動機，也可以用於抽象經歷。Journey常在後面接上介系詞of，例如歐洲之旅(the journey of Europe)、信念之旅(a journey of faith)。

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
千里之行，始於足下。

不太常使用於日常對話，除了祝福他人「一路順風」(bon voyage)，一般多見於文獻或者文學作品裡。

Christopher Columbus went on a voyage across the Atlantic and found the new world.
哥倫布橫渡大西洋而發現了新世界。
