有病就要「治」，要用cure還是heal？

cure、heal、treat都帶有醫治的意思，我們可以根據受傷部位或治癒與否來區分不同用法。 

cure (v.) 治療、使恢復健康

較針對內傷或生理疾病(disease、illness)的治療，通常帶有「已治癒」的含義。另也可當名詞使用，有療方、對策的意思。

Covid-19 poses a significant threat for humanity and doctors still haven't found a way to completely cure patients.

新冠病毒構成人類的重大威脅，但醫生仍無法完全地治癒病毒。 

heal (v.) 治癒、癒合

較偏向外傷(wound、 injury)或心理、情感傷口上的癒合。 跟cure一樣帶有「已治癒」的意思。

A broken heart takes a long time to heal.
受傷的心需要很長的時間才能癒合。 

treat (v.) 治療

無論哪種疾病或傷口都可使用，通常treat強調治療中的過程或手段。相對於cure與heal都帶有「痊癒」的意思，treat則是「正在醫治」。

According to a laboratory report, that the new drug may be used to treat cancer.

根據實驗室報告，新藥或許可以治療癌症。
