Despite achieving stardom at the young age of 11, she's never gone the Hollywood spoiled child route. In fact, she made all attempts to stay as “normal” as possible. She said, "Ignoring fame was my rebellion, in a funny way. I was insistent on being normal and doing normal things. It probably wasn’t advisable to go to college in America and room with a complete stranger. And it probably wasn’t wise to share a bathroom with eight other people in a coed dorm. Looking back, that was crazy."

She also works really hard. She said, "I was very well educated. My dad paid for me to go to a very good school but, you know, when my parents divorced, we didn’t have any money for a while. And so I worked hard every single day that I was at that school to make him proud of me and for him to know that I appreciated it. And I do, and I still do."

In spite of growing up in the UK, Watson is able to speak in a US accent when she needs to. When she was a child, she often sang along to US music on the radio. Later, when Watson started her acting career, she hired an expert to help with her US accent. “I worked with a dialogue coach and I just put in the time to really, really listen and just go over it and over it and over it until I could do it without thinking about it too hard,” she told The New York Times.

But being in showbiz for years, the star has learned to keep her private life to herself. “I want to be consistent: I can’t talk about my boyfriend in an interview and then expect people not to take paparazzi pictures of me walking around outside my home. You can’t have it both ways,” she told Vanity Fair. Looking on the bright side is an important attitude if you want to succeed. “If life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” Watson said.
