心理學家如何解讀星座？

在心理學家眼中，多達50億分類的占星符碼、語言，非常適合用作心理諮商。

20世紀後，總是被批判沒有根據的占星學找到了合適的科學定位，在心理學界大放異彩。
例如瑞士心理學家榮格(Carl Gustav Jung)提出自創詞「synchronicity」（同步率/共時性），嘗試編織了過去和現在、人類與宇宙、潛意識跟外在行為。榮格派的心理學家相信，世間一切必然有連結的原因，而占星學正是用來解釋這些「合理的巧合」的最佳工具。
這一句心理學界常用的句子，正好可用來解釋星星與人類的「同步率」：
The outer world was used to make sense of the inner.
說「同步率」有些抽象，來聽聽這個樂團怎麼用歌曲詮釋：
下面是英國樂團The Police（警察合唱團）1983年發布的一首單曲，我們借用一部分歌詞解釋榮格的同步概念
歌詞：
With one breath, with one flow
You will know
SynchronicityA sleep trance, a dream dance,
A shared romance,
SynchronicityA connecting principle,
Linked to the invisible
Almost imperceptible
Something inexpressible.
Science insusceptible
Logic so inflexible

反映靈魂的鏡子
在榮格的分析中，空中的星座與傳說的神祇，翻轉成了一張能反映靈魂的鏡子，讓人探索內在自我。
“Astrology is one of the intuitive methods like the I Ching（易經）, geomantics（風水）, and other divinatory procedures. It is based upon the synchronicity principle, i.e. meaningful coincidence. … Astrology is a naively projected psychology in which the different attitudes and temperaments of man are represented as gods and identified with planets and zodiacal constellations.” – Carl Gustav Jung
人本占星學
榮格一派的心理學家多著重解釋性格的分析心理學，像是法國哲學家魯伊爾(Dane Rudhyar)提出「人本占星學」(Humanistic Astrology)，他們看星座，看成走向實現自我的生命之路。
“The essential purpose of astrology is not so much to tell us what we will meet on our road, as it is to suggest how to meet it—and the basic reason for the meeting. Which quality in us, which type of strength is needed to go through any specific phase of our total unfoldment as an individual person.”

20世紀後，星座變得更加大眾語言，廣被不同年齡層接受、使用。

對非專業的人來說，跟心理師談話可能會被聽不懂學術名詞轉得頭暈，如果你對星座小有了解，不妨考慮星座諮商師，這是他們的名片：
所謂的「Astrological Counselling」，指的是占星被延伸用於婚姻諮商、兒童諮商、家族諮商、或其他特殊的諮商行為。除此之外，占星還是門好生意，關鍵掌握「說服的藝術」，在Problem跟Solution間抓到平衡。
